I'm not that great at writing these, so I probably wont be doing this that often.  I've been editing more photos lately and will be submitting them soon.  Also my good friend :iconbug-off: is hosting a collaborative story combining characters and stories from many different artists together into one fantasy/steam punk themed world.  I have already submitted some design elements for the story and might even pick up drawing again.

World War Two

More photos, except this time from a recent WWII reenactment held in Lowell, IN (my home town).  I have a lot of pictures from just one day, and I'll be continuing to post more from that event and hopefully other events as well.
I am taking a small break from reenacting personally to get a chance to photograph the hobby like I used to.  These people are amazing, they go through great lengths to be as historically accurate as possible no matter what side they portray.  If you get the chance, keep an eye out for any WWII events in your area.  If you're lucky, you'll also get a chance to meet WWII veterans.

Any kind of political affiliation with the active party in Germany during WWII is forbidden in this hobby.  Reenactors are not there to make political statements nor condone any immoral activities brought about by said political parties.  They do it to portray the soldiers and what they went through.
Read this for more insight on the political affiliation of the actual soldiers: www.wisegeek.com/were-there-no…

It's time to get active in DA!
Recently took a trip to Chicago with my girlfriend and my best friend.  I took a ton of pictures, so you will be seeing more from me soon.  In the mean time, enjoy the ones i posted so far.
As far as the watermarks are concerned, I'm sorry.  I never liked looking at artwork with watermarks, but quite simply i need to protect my work.  I am developing a less distracting watermark to place on all my images, but in the mean time, I'm just using the one provided by DA.

been at camp Atterbury lately (army national guard base currently in use for deployments) and I've been tasked with creating a brochure for MWR (moral, welfare, and recreation).  It's a lot of fun.  I'm posting pics soon.  Now, they're nothing awesome, but its a step back into photography.  Sadly though, i still don't own a digital camera, I'm using theirs.
cheers

haven't done a journal entry in a while, but this seemed too good to pass up.

the rules (i was confused a bit when i first read them)

go to google, search each phrase, copy the first result from each one.  tag 3 friends.  oh, and use your real first name; if i'm using mine, you can use yours...

1.Type in (with quotes) "[your name] needs" in the Google search:
Lyle needs to change because the kids r bored with the work.

...well they just need to learn to quit complaining and get back to work...

2.Type in "[your name] looks like" in Google search:
If Lyle looks like anyone, it's Oliver Reed.

...it's the chin...

3.Type in "[your name] says" in Google search:
Tate & Lyle says adios to Mexican sugar Tate & Lyle has taken new measures to remove itself from volatile commodity markets

...it all boils down to the caramel really...

Type in "[your name] wants" in Google search:
Lyle wants Ryder Cup revamp.

...its been in need of a driving change for a while...

5.Type in "[your name] does" in Google search:
Lyle does Ducati.

...what can i say? its one helluva ride....

6.Type in "[your name] hates" in Google search:
Lyle hates tables!!

...i hate 'em...

7.Type in "[your name] asks" in Google search:
NO CANCER CURE FOUND.; Dr. Lyle Asks Times to Deny Report That Harriman Research Has One

...that's right, i'm a doctor... and i'm so good, people think i have a cure for cancer!...

8.Type in "[your name] goes" in Google search:
Lyle goes bilingual.

...Je déteste quand cela se produit...

9.Type in "[your name] likes" in Google search:
Lyle likes the sand, sand, sand.

...apparently that blog was removed... now I'll never know why i like the sand, sand, sand. oh well, the next result says i like to kill people... i see an interesting story developing here....

10.Type in "[your name] eats" in Google search:
Lyle eats shit

...I EAT WHAT???...

11.Type in "[your name] wears" in Google search:
Lyle wears a suit and stands in the cradboard TV

...This just in! researchers say that cradboard TVs are more believable than cardboard TVs...

12.Type in "[your name] was arrested for" in Google Search:
Lyle was arrested for animal cruelty

...i should copy the rest of the story for the full effect:
(Roswell, New Mexico) Animal hoarder Mary Jane Lyle, 71, couldn't just leave her precious kitties when she traveled to Arizona from her home in Minden, Michigan, so she piled them into a U-Haul truck and hit the road. In Roswell, after the local police stopped her for a broken taillight and found 61 sick and 2 dead cats inside the truck, Lyle was arrested for animal cruelty.

...those aren't mine i SWEAR, i didn't know those were in there...
